Foundation Stone Laid For Various Projects In Manali, Himachal Pradesh
The ultra-modern interstate Bus Stand would be constructed in Manali on PPP mode in order to ensure best facilities to the tourists and the general public. This was stated by Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur after he laid the foundation stone of New Bus Stand in Manali in Kullu district.
Shri Jai Ram Thakur directed the officers to complete all the necessary formalities regarding this project at the earliest so that the work on this ambitious project would be started soon. He said that the project should be completed in the stipulated time period and it should ensure that the Manali Bus Stand becomes one of the best bus stands of the state as Manali was one of the most famous tourist destinations of the state where thousands of tourists visit every year.
Shri Jai Ram Thakur said that ensuring better connectivity to the remotest area of the state was the priority of the state government and for this adequate provision has been made in the state budget.
Earlier, he laid the foundation stone of construction of road from NH-21 to village Bran road under PMGSY to be constructed at a cost of Rs 320 lakh. About 4 panchayats of the area would be benefited from this road. He also laid the foundation stone of improvement and metalling and tarring of Marhi Gadherni to Parsha Shaleen road under PMGSY –RIDF-XXIII to be constructed at a cost of Rs 397.30 lakh. Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for upgradation and beautification of Green Tax Barrier near Aloo ground, police station building at Manali to be constructed at a cost of about Rs. 5 crore and also for Nature Park, Beas Vihal Manali to be constructed at a cost of Rs 3 crore.
